Wayne Park is the main recreational area of Waverly.

It has a lot of amentities and attractions as listed below:

One of the widest variety of tree and plantings in the state of Nebraska
Arboretum full of shrubs, bushes, unique species of trees and flowers
Lots of wide open green space for play and leisure
Walking trail throughout the whole park - about 1 mile in distance
Plenty of benches in the shade for rest and relaxation
Playground
Smaller sand playground near the disc golf course
Swimming pool - built in 1975; demolished in 2023
Aquatic Center - opened July 4, 2023; capacity 433; includes 2 slides, lazy river, kiddie slide, diving board, and zero entry.
