Halloween Events
Each year, the Waverly Community Chamber of Commerce hosts safe trick-or-treating on Halloween, October 31, from 5-7pm at both the Waverly Downtown and the Waverly Plaza locations. Many Chamber Members and other local businesses hand out candy inside the VFW Hall 13820 Guildford St, along the Plaza area, Horizon Bank, and the Downtown area! Don't forget to stop by Tomorrow's Veterinary, Terry's Body Shop, Cubby's, and Waverly Fire/Rescue! There are also free hot dogs and waters available for everyone just outside of the VFW Hall, compliments of Peace Lutheran Church. Waverly Fire/Rescue and Kiwanis members assist in traffic safety at 141st and Hwy 6 and 141st and Kenilworth Streets.
There are also other events outside of October 31 including Camp Creek's trunk-or-treat event "Eek at the Creek" on October 11, 2025 at the Camp Creek Showgrounds 17200 Bluff Rd. Check back in the fall for other events!
