Interested in being able to help your community and impact people's lives? We are interested in YOU!
- New Recruits interested in joining the Waverly Volunteer Fire/Rescue Department must attend Monday Fire Department meetings held every Monday at 19:00 at the Fire Station.
- Application will be reviewed with applicants after 6 Mondays to allow for assessment and confirmation that applicant has shown initiative and would like to continue with the application process
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must live or work in the Waverly Fire District. Special considerations may be accepted within reason.
- at least 19 years of age with a valid driver's license
- no felony conviction (we will conduct a background check and drug test)
- must be willing to attend at least 10% of calls and/or meetings each year
TRAINING (paid by Fire Department):
- AHA BLS CPR Certification
- EMT Training
- Fire Fighter 1 Training
- Weekly/Monthly required in house/on the job training
- Many other training opportunities!
How to apply:

- Pick up an application at the City Office 14130 Lancashire St during regular business hours.
- Fill out an application at a Fire Department meeting held at the Fire Station 10530 N 141st St Mondays at 19:00.
- Complete the Volunteer Fire/Rescue Membership Application and return it to any of the above locations or email it to the fire chief.
