Liquor License
Applications
All liquor license applications are made through the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission (NLCC). Applications for liquor licenses within the City of Waverly are reviewed by the City Council. Their recommendation for approval or denial is then forwarded to NLCC, who issues the licenses. All license fees are paid to School District 145 per Neb. Rev. St. 53-138.01. Annual license fees shall be prorated on a quarterly basis from the date of issuance. The City of Waverly currently does not collect occupational taxes on liquor licenses.

License Renewal
The license year, unless otherwise provided in the Nebraska Liquor Control Act, runs from May 1st of each year to April 30th of the following year. The license year for Class C liquor licenses runs from November 1st of each year to October 31st of the following year. License fees will be prorated for each quarter from the date of issuance.
